In Surah Maryam of the Holy Quran we can read the story Prophet Zachariah's prayer for a son and the birth of John (Yahya) and Allah's favors upon him. Maryam -peace be upon her - and the miraculous birth of her son Jesus -peace be upon him is also mentioned in this surah.
